U-20 Women’s World Cup: Nigeria Thrash Canada

Nigeria came from a goal down to secure a win over the Canada. Esther Onyenezide’s brace from the spot kick and a late goal from Olise helped Nigeria thrashed Canada 3-1 in their final group match to finish top of the group with a 100% win record. It is the first time they will be doing so in the competition since their debut in 2002.

Nigeria are through to the quarterfinals of the U20 Women’s World Cup and will face Netherlands on Sunday.
