GOLD MEDALIST, OZOR CHIDIEBERE, Model Primary School 1 Nsukka

The event which was in collaboration with the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board, ENSUBEB was to honor pupils and their teachers who distinguished themselves in the debate quiz competition and parade organized in the area.



The representative of the company, Engr. Chikezie Okoh who explained that qualitative education is capital intensive noted also that government alone cannot adequately fund every programme geared toward advancing education.

He said “as a matter of fact, Eco Ventures volunteered to offer her services in that regard so as to ensure qualitative and functional basic education in Enugu and Nigeria at large”.

“we engage the learners in several areas to encourage them to be excellent leaders of tomorrow and be acquainted with the world best practices in information technology”.

Chikezie Oko further stated “This is the 13th edition of this event. Nine Local Government Areas that participated in this are Enugu South, Enugu North, Enugu East, Igbo Eze South, Nkanu East, Nkanu West, Nsukka, Udenu and Udi.”

He emphasised that the 9 laptops with accessories given out to the schools were to encourage their contributions while four hundred and fifty (450) Higher education note books which were equally given to the pupils were to motivate the curiosity for knowledge acquisition, adding that the teachers would recieve full free computer training during the long vacation in progress.

OKO stated “therefore we plead with the management of ENSUBEB to encourage other local governments like Aninri, Awgu, Ezeagu, Igbo Etiti, Igbo Eze North, Isiuzo, Oji River and Uzo uwani to key in to this programme so that no child in public primary schools in the State would be disadvantaged especially during national examinations”.



In a welcome address, the Director of School Services ENSUBEB, Mrs Julie Ugwu emphasised that the relevance of modern technology to the society cannever be over emphasised stating that education being a holistic development of an individual is sorely dependent on the technological know how one has.

She maintained that the Board recognizes the efforts of Eco Ventures towards improving the quality of education in the state as well as exposing the pupils to education technology.


A pupil of Model Primary School 1 Nsukka,  Ozo Chidiebere recieved a Gold Medal as the overall best performed student.

2nd position was grabbed by Ani Paschaline from Independence Layout Primary School 1 and she got a Silver Medal while Ugwu Chimobi of Central School Akegbe ugwu who came third got Bronze Medal.

Winners in each LGA received a laptop computer for their schools,
While twenty seven others from the nine Local Government Areas received Higher Education long note books.

Activities to mark the event include debate between pupils from Udenu and Igbo- eze South local government areas, with the topic: Teachers are more important than Politician.
