Methodist Church Nigeria has elected a new prelate.
He is Most Reverend Oliver Abba, who emerged during the Ongoing electoral college in Abuja.
He will be succeeding His Eminence, the Most Uche Samuel Kalu, who retires on November 2022 at the expiration of his tenure.
Unti his elevation, Most Revd Oliver Abah, was the Archbishop of Benue Archdiocese.
He is to replace the retiring Prelate, His Eminence Dr Samuel Chukwuemeka Uche who was recently kidnapped and released after 24 hours in Abia State.
Oliver Abah would now go with the title His Eminence before his name.
He started his career as a minister in Methodist Church Nigeria Kubwa now Methodist Cathedral of Grace, Kubwa, Christ Methodist Church Nyanya now Christ Cathedral Nyanya, Abuja
The Ongoing electoral college is to elect about five Archbishops and more than 25 bishops of the church.
The conference of the church tagged Benue 2022 started on Wednesday in Abuja due to the high level of Insecurity in the North Central state.
