Late Lady Esther Nwojinika Nwokoye finally laid to rest in her hometown, Nri (See Video)

Late Lady Esther Nwojinika Nwokoye was laid to rest on Friday, May 19, 2023, in her hometown of Nri, Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State. The final proceedings commenced with a Vigil mass in her compound on Thursday, May 18, 2023, which was attended by a large number of priests and members who came to pay their final respects to mama.

This was followed by the burial and condolence visits on the subsequent day, Friday, and continued on Saturday, May 20, 2023. The event concluded with a church Thanksgiving on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in NRI.

Mama was honored by numerous visitors who described her as a remarkable teacher known for her humility and down-to-earth nature. Mama hailed from the Tabansi family in Nri before her marriage to the late Sir Alex Nwokoye.

She is survived by eight children, all of whom are graduates and married.
