Gov Soludo Flags off Monthly Sanitation Exercise In Anambra



Governor Chukwuma Soludo says the state government is starting the monthly exercise held every last Saturday of the month with renewed vigour in its journey towards a cleaner, greener, planned and sustainable environment.

Governor Soludo stated this during the flagged off the renewed last Saturday of the month  sanitisation exercise at Eke Awka market.

On arrival, Governor Soludo first performed drainage desilting.

Governor Soludo also flagged off the door to door dirts collection exercise.

Speaking shortly after the flag-offs, the Governor asked the people to imbibe the habit of clearing up their environment clean.

He said the exercise was part of his administration’s determination to ensure a hygienic and healthy environment as well as the wellness of the citizenry.

In a remark, the Chairman of Eke Awka Market, Chief Jude Agummadu applauded the Governor for coming to flag-off the initiative of a renewed sanitation in the markets and pledged to give all the necessary support for it success.

Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi,  Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Felix Odimegwu, among others, attended the event.
