2023Elections: “My father Asiwaju Tinubu owes nobody any apology for choosing Muslim-Muslim tickets” – Seyi Tinubu

Ahead of the 2023 general election, Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu has warned Nigerians that his father Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of APC own nobody apology over his choice to chose a Muslim Muslim running mate.

However, recall that the INEC deadline for All Presidential candidates to choose and submit their Vice President is 17/07/2023.

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Friday, dashed the hopes of several Nigerians wishing that he would reconsider his stance on the contentious Muslim-Muslim ticket by replacing former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, with a northern Christian, as his running mate.

“One thing Nigerians failed to understand is that it is only the Party Presidential flag bearer has the right to choose whosoever he deems fit as his running mate and my father has made his choice in the person of Senator Kashim Shettima.

“Muslim-Muslim ticket is not an issue here and shouldn’t be because what Nigerians need is a leader with a large heart who can deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

“These are two individuals who have good track records of good leadership right from their respective states as former Governors and have volunteered themselves to steer the leadership boat of this country. What they should expect is not a criticism but encouragement to enable them to deliver good leadership when they must have taken overcome 2023.

“Besides my father has made his choice and he absolutely owes nobody an explanation whatsoever on the choice of his running mate. Nigerians should always learn to do away with religion politics because this time around it’s not going to work. All we want is good leaders and here are two individuals from different ethnic groups who have come to take us to the next level. Religion does not matter anymore in Nigerian politics. We have passed that era, now we are progressive and I urge everyone to join this moving train.”

Meanwhile,  many Nigerians has reacted, “The young man is right. His father owe no one an explanation as regards his choice of vice president.

Nigerians equally will do the right thing at the right time.

Your father is yet to win the election and you are sounding this rude.. only God knows what will happen if eventually he becomes the president of Nigeria… God don’t allow this calamity to befall us again”
